As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor, Dr. Jane Toler specializes in counseling individuals, couples, and families. She also supervises students who are working towards licensure as Professional Counselors.
Dr. Toler earned her Ph.D. in Counseling from The University of North Texas and M.S. and B.A. degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has been in the mental health field since 1996 and is an EMDR-trained therapist.
She has volunteered at the Suicide and Crisis Center in Dallas and is an affiliate of the Stepfamily Association of America, now known as the National Stepfamily Resource Center.
She leads support groups for mothers estranged from adult children at Highland Park United Methodist Church and works with individuals, couples, groups and families, including families in conflict.
Now in private practice, she has served on the staff of The Family Place and Hope’s Door, north Texas community agencies that help families affected by domestic violence. Dr. Toler has served as an adjunct member of the University of North Texas Counseling program.
